About The Campaign
The Campaign for US Ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is a volunteer-driven network of academics, attorneys, child and human rights advocates, educators, members of religious and faith-based communities, physicians, representatives from non-governmental organizations (NGOs), students, and other concerned citizens. We work to help achieve ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, by the US Senate, and to implement its standards in the US.
The Campaign is guided by its Mission Statement, its Vision Statement, and its Declaration. Although advocacy efforts toward ratification have continued since 1989, the current Campaign began in 2002. The Campaign works through a national Steering Committee, periodical Campaign meetings, a youth advisory council and special events, and many partners.
